Chiropractic is a hands on therapy aimed at correcting the source of musculoskeletal problems. Chiropractors are educated about all joints, muscles and nerves of the body. Through a comprehensive assessment and diagnosis we are able to identify the root cause of a problem or potential warning signs and tailor an individual treatment plan to ensure your body is functioning at its highest level. Chiropractic today is one of the largest primary-contact health care professions in Canada with over 6,000 practicing chiropractors. Chiropractic remains the leading natural and drug free way to address pain and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
At OMNI Chiropractic we believe a thorough examination and diagnosis is essential in directing your care. We utilize orthopedic, neurological and functional testing to identify weaknesses and determine the underlying cause of the problem. We can then design a treatment that will not only address the symptoms you are experiencing but move towards correcting the problem at the source.

How do I know if I need a chiropractor?
Many people wait for symptoms to appear before seeking help. These can include Pain, stiffness, weakness numbness and tingling etc. However, in many situations these problems can be identified and addressed before symptoms start to become more prevalent. Regular checkups are a great idea to identify any potential problems or risk factors.
What conditions do chiropractors treat?
The vast majority of patients who seek chiropractic health care do so for complaints of the musculoskeletal system, most often for conditions affecting the spine such as low back pain, neck pain and headaches. A common misconception is that chiropractors only treat the spine, this is false. Chiropractors are educated about the entire musculoskeletal system. Shoulder, knee, hip and ankle pain all are all within the scope of chiropractic care. As with any problem, a thorough exam will be crucial in determining the root cause of the symptoms. A plan will then be developed to not only treat the symptoms but the underlying cause as well.

What is an “Adjustment?”
The chiropractic “adjustment” or “manipulation” is one of many tools a doctor of chiropractic utilizes during treatments. It is a skill developed through four years of intensive chiropractic education. The primary goal is to decrease pain, improve areas of reduced or restricted movement and alleviate stress on surrounding musculature. The focus is on restoration of normal mechanics and improved functioning of the spine, extremities and supporting soft tissue structures.
Does an adjustment hurt?
No – Typically adjustments are quite comfortable and patients feel relief almost immediately after. In some cases some mild soreness is felt in targeted areas, typically this will only last for 24 hours.
